Many Maryland, DC and Virginia gardeners think about planting in early April. The month of spring showers is also an excellent time to prepare for strong winds, downpours, flash flooding and lightning, The Capitol Weather Gang recently blogged a test of our severe weather preparedness. The local National Weather Service Office offers an excellent severe weather Skywarn spotter course open to the public at various locations in Virgina and Maryland .
